Hi there! I totally get your confusion—Facebook makes it tricky on purpose. If someone blocks you, their profile disappears entirely for you: you won’t find them in search, you can’t tag them in posts, and past conversations might show their name as just “Facebook User.” However, the tricky part is that the same thing can happen if they deactivate their account. The key difference is checking through another account (if you have one, or ask a trusted friend). If their profile shows up for others but not you, it’s almost definitely a block. If no one can see their profile, they’ve deactivated. I’ve been in that situation, and at first I thought I was blocked. Later I realized the person had just taken a break from social media, and their account came back a month later. So don’t jump to conclusions right away—it might not be personal!

Hey! SOS just means your iPhone can only dial emergency numbers. It’ll go back to normal once you’re back in range of your carrier’s network.

Hello! Go into your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, select Snapchat+, and hit cancel. Features stay until the end of your paid period.

The option only appears if you’re eligible: over 18, account isn’t brand new, and no recent rule violations. If you qualify, profile > “Create Public Profile.” It unlocks bio, highlights, and subscriber features.

Hi, the easiest way is to delete the parent app or toggle them off in iMessage settings. Built-in ones can only be hidden, not removed.

Chats don’t raise your Snap score. Only sending/receiving snaps and posting stories affect it. If you’re typing messages all day, your score won’t move until you send an actual photo or video snap.

I ran into this same issue when I upgraded my phone. The Screen Recording option doesn’t automatically appear in Control Center—you have to manually add it. Here’s how: go to Settings → Control Center. Once you’re there, scroll down until you see “Screen Recording” under the “More Controls” list. Tap the green + icon, and it will move up into the “Included Controls” section. Now, when you swipe down from the top-right corner of your iPhone (or swipe up from the bottom if you’re on an older model with a home button), you should see the little record icon—a circle inside another circle.

Tap it to start recording, and you’ll get a three-second countdown. The status bar or Dynamic Island will glow red while recording. Tap the same icon again (or the red bar at the top) to stop. The video automatically saves to your Photos app.

This works the same on iOS 16 and iOS 17, so no worries about version differences. Honestly, once you add it, you’ll use it way more than you expect—it’s super handy for tutorials or sharing bugs.
