Instagram’s system is a bit vague. A deactivated account vanishes platform-wide. Blocked accounts vanish only for you. Ask a trusted friend to check. If they also can’t see it, you can be confident it’s deactivation and not blocking.

Hey! Just offload the app in iPhone Storage settings. That clears cache without losing your data. I’ve done it, and it works perfectly.

I had this same problem recently. For me, deleting and reinstalling the app fixed it immediately. It seems like Instagram bugs out after updates sometimes. If Live is still missing, reach out to support through “Help” in settings—they actually responded quickly when I did.

The simplest method is via the Phone app’s contact card. Open the contact you blocked, scroll to the bottom, and tap Unblock this Caller. If you don’t see them saved, head into Settings → Phone → Blocked Contacts and look for the number there. Removing it restores normal communication. Keep in mind, any texts or calls made while blocked are permanently gone—you’ll only receive new ones from then on.

Stopping location sharing won’t ping them. iPhone: Settings → Privacy → Share My Location → Off. Snapchat: Ghost Mode. They’ll only see “not available” if they dig. Apps avoid sending obvious alerts for privacy reasons, so you’re covered unless they’re checking constantly.
