Snapchat’s wording trips people up. Following = subscription. You’re just watching their stuff. Friends = mutual connection. The app keeps it separate so you know who’s engaging with you back and who’s just someone you’re following for content.

You can pause Snap Map sharing with Ghost Mode—select it for 3 or 24 hours. No notifications go out. It’s the simplest way if you don’t want to mess with system settings.

It’s a budget option. Great if you want internet fast, without credit checks or contracts. But if you care about long-term reliability and higher speeds, bigger providers will probably serve you better.

I’d say post either around 9 AM or after 7 PM. Those windows hit people during routine downtime. Don’t stress too much, though—content quality matters more. Timing helps, but a boring post at 9 AM still won’t perform well.

I actually tracked my score with a friend to see. We sent snaps back and forth: when I sent one, my score went up; when I received one, it also increased. Chats never made a difference. The only confusing bit is that sometimes Snapchat updates scores with a small delay, so it looks like a “random jump.” But overall, yes—receiving snaps definitely contributes. If you’re looking to grow your score quickly, trading snaps is the fastest way.
