When someone deactivates, their username is unsearchable, and their comments or likes vanish too. If you suspect blocking, ask a friend to search their profile. If it shows up for your friend but not you, then you were blocked. If no one can find them, then they deactivated. I’ve tested this with a friend who deactivated for two weeks—his account was gone completely, and only reappeared once he logged back in.

If you see a lock on someone’s story, don’t stress—it’s nothing technical. It’s their private story, only visible to chosen friends. You’re basically in their inner circle, so you’re seeing content not everyone else on their list will.

The main thing people forget is branding. Sure, creating a channel is easy, but add a good profile picture, a banner, and fill out your “About” section. It’s what makes your channel stand out from the millions of faceless accounts already out there.

I noticed a huge difference when I switched from late afternoon to early morning posts on Sundays. Before, I’d post at 3 PM and barely see engagement. Once I moved it to around 10 AM, my likes and comments doubled. It seems people scroll more leisurely in the morning, then spend afternoons outdoors or with family. I’d say morning is king, but don’t ignore the evening if your followers are younger—they’re often active late on Sunday nights.

It’s basically tower-dependent. If you’re near a strong AT&T 5G tower, it’s solid. If not, it’s frustrating. I’d check coverage maps or test speeds before committing.

Hi, make sure “Share My Location” is turned on in Find My and your phone has service. If still stuck, restart—it often works.

Hi, if someone tags you, you’ll see the “Add to Story” button in your DMs. Otherwise, no direct repost—Instagram limits it for privacy.
