Instagram doesn’t alert you if someone screenshots a story. It only shows viewers. You’ll only get screenshot notifications for disappearing photos or videos in DMs. Stories themselves can be saved quietly, so you won’t know.

Press side + volume button until the slider pops up, then slide to power off. Or in Settings > General > Shut Down. Side button alone won’t work—it’s reserved for Siri now.

Hey, creating a Highlight on Instagram is pretty straightforward once you know where to look. You don’t need to do it while the story is still live—Instagram saves your stories to your archive by default (unless you turned that setting off). To make a Highlight, go to your profile and tap the “+” button in the Highlights section right under your bio. From there, you’ll see your story archive and can select which ones you want to include. After choosing, you can name the Highlight and edit the cover. For the cover, you can either use one of the story frames or upload a custom image from your camera roll, which is how people make those clean icons you see on profiles. If you already have a Highlight, you can keep adding new stories to it. It’s flexible, so you can organize them however you want.

Hello, if you just need more space, grab a USB-C portable monitor. Easy to set up, no fuss, and you won’t break your wallet.

The platform doesn’t give a “hide followers” toggle. Your choices: public profile (anyone can see) or private profile (only approved followers can see). You can manage further by removing unwanted followers or blocking specific accounts. No other workaround exists for now.
