    Hey, I’ve been seeing people talk about Snapchat’s “planets” feature that shows up in Best Friends, and I’m a little confused about how it actually works. From what I gather, it’s part of Snapchat+, and it represents your friendship ranking with someone. Each planet supposedly lines up with a different position, like Mercury for #1, Venus for #2, and so on. But the exact order and what each planet means can be a little tricky to remember. I’d like to know the correct order of planets Snapchat uses to show who’s closest on your best friends list. Also, are these planets only visible to Snapchat+ subscribers, or does everyone see them? I just want a clear explanation so I’m not guessing when I see them.

    The order matches our solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Each planet shows your ranking from #1 to #8 on Snapchat+. Non-subscribers won’t see them—it’s locked behind the Snapchat+ subscription.

    Hey, I remember when Snapchat rolled this out—it confused me at first too. The planets are basically a fun visual for ranking your top eight friends in Snapchat+. Think of it as the solar system where you’re the sun, and your friends are planets orbiting around you. The order matches the real solar system, so it goes like this:

    Mercury = #1 best friend

    Venus = #2

    Earth = #3

    Mars = #4

    Jupiter = #5

    Saturn = #6

    Uranus = #7

    Neptune = #8

    So, if you see Mercury next to someone, that’s your absolute top best friend on Snap. Venus would be second, Earth third, and so on until Neptune. Each planet has its own little design (rings, color, etc.) to match the vibe of the real planets.

    One important thing: you only see this if you’re a Snapchat+ subscriber. People who don’t have Snapchat+ won’t see planets at all. I tested this by logging into my alt account without Snapchat+, and nothing showed. It’s just one of Snapchat’s perks for paying users.

    I thought it was random at first, but it’s actually consistent. Your #1 best friend is Mercury, closest to the sun. Then it follows the actual planetary order outward: Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. So Neptune means they’re still in your top 8, but at the edge. It’s only for Snapchat+ though. Without that subscription, you won’t see any planets. I had to double-check this because my younger cousin showed me on his account—it’s paywalled.

    Snapchat planets follow the solar system order: Mercury is #1, Neptune is #8. It’s a Snapchat+ feature only. Without a subscription, you won’t see planets on best friends at all.

    The Snapchat+ planets order: Mercury (#1), Venus (#2), Earth (#3), Mars (#4), Jupiter (#5), Saturn (#6), Uranus (#7), Neptune (#8). You’re always the sun in the center, and your best friends are planets around you. Regular users don’t get this—it’s Snapchat+ exclusive.

    Hello, the order is Mercury to Neptune—exactly like the real solar system. You’re the sun, and your top eight friends orbit as planets. Snapchat+ only.
