Hey, I think one of my friends might have unadded me on Snapchat, but I’m not 100% sure how to tell. Snapchat doesn’t send a notification when someone removes you, so it’s a little tricky. I know you can sometimes still see their username in your chat list, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re still friends. I also heard that if you check your Friends list or look at your snap score interactions, you can figure it out. What are the actual signs to confirm someone unadded you, and how do you tell the difference between being unadded and being blocked? I’d rather not guess—I just want to know the clear indicators so I don’t jump to the wrong conclusion.

When someone unadds you, your Snaps stay pending, and their Snap score disappears from their profile. You can still search their name, though. If you’re blocked, you can’t find them at all. That’s the simplest way to tell the difference. Hi, easiest way: if you can still search their username but can’t see their Snap score or send Snaps, they unadded you—not blocked. The main indicators: Snap score gone, “Pending” next to messages, and missing from your Friends list. That’s unadded. Blocked means they vanish completely from search and chat. Snapchat doesn’t alert you, so you just have to piece it together. Check if your Snaps say “Pending” and you can’t see their Snap score. That’s unadded. If they’ve blocked you, you won’t find their username anywhere, even in search. Snapchat makes this subtle, but here’s the difference: if you’ve been unadded, you’ll still see their profile and maybe past chats, but your Snaps and messages will show as “Pending.” Their Snap score also won’t be visible anymore. If you’re blocked, you won’t find them at all—not in your Friends list, not in search. I once thought I was blocked, but it turned out they had just unadded me; I could still see them, just not interact properly. Hey, I’ve had this happen a couple of times and I get the confusion—Snapchat isn’t very upfront about it. When someone unadds you, you won’t get a direct notification. But there are a few solid signs. First, check your Friends list. If their name doesn’t show up there anymore, it usually means they removed you. Another method is checking their Snap score. When you tap on their profile, if you can no longer see their snap score, that’s a big giveaway you’re not friends anymore. You might still be able to send them Snaps, but they’ll show up as “Pending” with a gray arrow instead of delivering like normal. It’s important to know the difference between being unadded and blocked. If you’re blocked, you won’t even find their username when you search—it’s like they disappeared completely. If you’re unadded, you can still see their account, but interactions are limited. I remember testing this with a friend on purpose—we unadded each other to see the differences. It’s subtle, but once you notice the Snap score disappearing and messages showing “Pending,” you’ll know they unadded you. If you can’t see their Snap score and your messages show “Pending,” they unadded you. If their name disappears entirely from search, that’s blocking. Unadded still leaves their profile visible; blocked wipes it out.
