How can I hide my followers on Instagram?

Hey, I’ve been wondering if there’s a way to hide my followers list on Instagram. I know you can make your account private so only approved followers can see who follows you, but what if I don’t want even my followers to see the full list? I’ve looked around in settings, but it doesn’t look like Instagram gives a straightforward option for hiding followers completely. I’m curious if there’s a workaround, like restricting certain accounts, blocking, or using Close Friends. Is the only solution just going private, or is there another way? I’d also like to know if Instagram is testing any new features that might allow more control over follower visibility. Basically, I want more privacy without nuking my whole account.

Hey, Instagram hasn’t added that feature yet. Best you can do is go private and remove or block people you don’t want peeking at your followers.

Right now, Instagram doesn’t allow you to hide followers completely. You can only control it by setting your profile to private or pruning your follower list. If privacy is a huge deal, block individuals. Beyond that, no direct “hide” option is available yet.

The platform doesn’t give a “hide followers” toggle. Your choices: public profile (anyone can see) or private profile (only approved followers can see). You can manage further by removing unwanted followers or blocking specific accounts. No other workaround exists for now.

Instagram doesn’t let you hide followers from followers. Switch to private, and only your approved people see it. For tighter control, remove or block individuals you don’t want seeing your followers.

I used to stress about this too. Sadly, Instagram doesn’t offer a “hide followers” option. If your profile is public, anyone can see the list. Going private makes it visible only to your approved followers. What I did was clean up my follower list and remove people I didn’t want snooping. It’s not perfect, but it helped. If you’re worried about a few specific accounts, restricting or blocking them works. Hopefully Instagram adds more privacy controls down the line.

Hi, this is a really common question, and honestly, Instagram doesn’t make it easy. As of now, there isn’t a button to flat-out “hide” your followers list from everyone. If your account is public, anyone can see who follows you and who you follow. If you switch to a private account, only the people you approve as followers can see that list. That’s the closest thing to hiding it.

What some people do if they want even more privacy is curate their followers manually. You can remove certain followers without blocking them—they won’t get notified, but they’ll lose access to your followers list. Another option is to block specific accounts if you absolutely don’t want them to see.

There’s no official “hide followers from followers” feature yet, though people have been requesting it for years. You can’t fully hide followers on Instagram. The only real method is making your account private so only approved people see it. Otherwise, manage by removing or blocking specific followers you don’t want checking your list.
