Hey folks, I’ve been trying to grow my Instagram engagement and I keep hearing that the timing of posts can make a big difference. I specifically want to figure out the best time to post on Mondays. Some people say mornings are ideal since users check their phones before work, others suggest lunchtime or after-work hours when people scroll to relax. I know time zones and audiences matter a lot, but I’m hoping to get some real-world insights. Have you noticed certain Monday posting times that consistently get better likes, comments, or reach? I’d love to hear what has actually worked for you in practice, not just what some generic article says. Any personal experiences, data-driven advice, or strategies are super welcome!

Hi! I usually post around 12:30 PM on Mondays, and it works surprisingly well. People are scrolling during lunch, so engagement rates spike naturally. What worked for me: Monday mornings, hands down. I post at 7:45 AM consistently, and engagement always beats other times. Try it for a few weeks, track your Insights, and see if the pattern matches your audience’s behavior. I’d say post either around 9 AM or after 7 PM. Those windows hit people during routine downtime. Don’t stress too much, though—content quality matters more. Timing helps, but a boring post at 9 AM still won’t perform well. Mondays are all about habits. Most people scroll in the morning before work. Try posting at 8 AM your audience’s local time. That’s when engagement rates tend to spike consistently. From my experience, 8 AM on Mondays usually gets the best engagement. People scroll as soon as they wake up or while commuting. Just avoid the mid-afternoon slump; engagement dips when folks are busy with work. Hey there! I’ve tested Monday posting times for months while running my small business page, and here’s what I noticed. Early morning (around 7–9 AM) tends to do really well because people are checking their phones before work or during their commute. I’ve also had good luck at lunchtime (11 AM–1 PM), when everyone takes a break and scrolls a bit. Evenings, especially around 7–9 PM, are also solid since people are home and relaxing. What I found didn’t work: posting late at night or mid-afternoon (3–5 PM). Those posts always underperformed. My advice is to experiment with these three prime slots and check your Insights under “Audience.” Instagram actually shows you when your followers are most active. Your perfect time might be slightly different depending on where your audience lives, but generally, mornings and evenings win out on Mondays. From my experience, 8 AM on Mondays usually gets the best engagement. People scroll as soon as they wake up or while commuting. Just avoid the mid-afternoon slump; engagement dips when folks are busy with work.
